Weekly checkin! Nov. 28

Well its been a hell of a week.

Coupled with not feeling 100% and a sore on my lip, I am not impressed.

However this week feels like it will be a good one.  The newest edition of "Logan's Letter" is online at www.logansletter.blogspot.com so feel free to check it out.  Yes it is mostly nonsense.  Deal with it.

P.S.  Get your xmas shopping done, everyone, its almost christmas and the mall sucks.

*UPDATE!* For Monday, November 21st/2011

     Many thanks to all of you who have taken time out of your day to view this page!  This is the very first official weekly check in, so to commemorate this event, I will be typing the following sentence in green font.  Oh, the power I have attained. To give you all a clearer picture as to what my posting is about, and how to efficiently navigate it, I will be posting a weekly check in. (see current page) 

  This page will simply be a method of correspondence. 

  What I am really excited for, however, will be the Weekly Edition of Logan's Letter.  This will be a type of "mock newspaper" in order to start building some column-writing experience.   While the check-in is very brief and casual, Logan's Letter will be a large and hopefully entertaining online column that readers can enjoy. 

  What all can be found in Logan's Letter?

  1.Front page:  Outlines all the topics in this week's letter.
  2.Current Events:  All relevant issues that I deem newsworthy.  "Logan, why was my request for that politics scandal not written about?"  Because it was boring.  Go away.
  3. Life: A column that hopefully uses wisdom and insight to truly highlight what it means to truly live in the world that we do.
  4. Sports: A look into the sports that matter, especially the ones that pertain to my life.  Main sports featured will be Hockey, Fivepin Bowling and Poker.  "But Logan, Poker is not a sport!"  "Yeah? And this paper is not the Times."
  5. Views Reviewed:  A three-part piece that breaks down movies with an indepth rating system.  Not only do I rate newer movies, but I dust off the old VHS's to also take you down memory lane.
  6.  Music to my Peers:  Another three-part segment designed for music.
  7.  Judging by the Cover:  A weekly book review.  Need I say more?  Maybe...
  8.  It's all Fun and Games...well, maybe just games: A weekly look at a featured video game.  Please note that other writers may be contributing for this column.
  9.  Horror-scopes and the Ridiculous:  Logan takes his first shot at writing horoscopes, as well as stories featuring REALLY STUPID PEOPLE. (in order to protect the identities of the dumb, the name "Buddy" will be given to all who are featured)   Also, hopefully beginning next week, a cartoon will be featured with each edition.


  Seeing as how this is so much longer than any other weekly check-in, I will finish off with some ground rules.

1. The Court Of Logan presides over all matters related to this column.  If you are rude and/or abusive and/or smell funny, you will be penalized.
2.  At some point, an "ask Logan" section will be added.  Until then, comments and reviews are both welcomed and encouraged.  Please be aware that a post filled with grammatical errors may or may not show up in the "Stupid People Section".
3.  The word "Blog" is considered offensive language.  "Online Column"  is an appropriate substitute.   Also see forum, letter, news, etc.
4. Due to the fact that this column is not widely spread, anyone signing up to "follow" will be automatically granted "Awesome" status.

*UPDATE!* Self-proclaimed Blog Hater to start writing blogs...

 If you are reading this, then likely you have crossed that line that seperates two distinct parts of our social criteria....having a life and not having one.  Nevertheless, I am grateful you have taken the time to stop by and visit this page.  Starting every sunday evening, I will be putting in a blog post onto this page (as well as a few other specific columns) in an attempt to start building a fanbase.  My goal is to build experience in hopes to one day be able to pursue a career in Journalism.  For now, I will be providing followers with a fresh and unique weekly column with no base agenda for each week.  My other blog pages will have more of a backbone, at least as far as what they will be about, but this blog here is designed strictly to connect with the world around me, and put my two cents in.  I will also be trying to incorporate any corresponding feedback into my blog, making you (the reader) able to actually help mold the future of this blog page.  Your ideas will be key in shaping the blog and the content within. 

  At any point that you have a question or comment, please leave it with me.  If it is crude/offensive/just plain stupid, please be forewarned that it will be deleted.  Also, there will be a $20 dollar annoyance fee just for putting up with you.
